Create your liberation adventures and pineapple-overthrowing tales – day and night. Unforgettable fun for mini revolutionaries of all ages…
Behind every legendary leader is an all-singing, all-dancing sidekick. Like Che’s yin to Castor’s yang, so too is Santarina to Santa. Aspiring young revolutionaries are encouraged to practise their undercover skills and make a silent advancement on Santarina’s Hideout to put in their wishes!
Parents – our remote location presents Santa and Santarina with some formidable logistical challenges. Some of your children’s wishes that Santa finds particularly difficult to arrange will be passed to you for fulfillment. Please give Santarina any personal gifts for your child, marked with their name; she will gladly pass them to Santa to surprise your child at the Kids’ Christmas Party on 25 December.
SANTA’S ARRIVAL AND KIDS’ PARTY
Main Jetty/Blu Beach
11:45 am – 2:00 pm
Santa is ready, all water-guns blazing, but Rudolph is incapacitated after one too many pineapple rums … his nose is even redder than usual! Fear not, legendary leaders always have a back-up plan – and Santa is no exception! Join us on the main jetty from 11.45am to find out if – and how – he’ll arrive, and then head to Kids’ Club to continue the festive fun with games, gifts and goodies. Happy Christmas!
KIDS WITH A THEME
Pineapple Revolution theme nights are accompanied by a special children’s buffet in Kids’ Club. Join us for tasty treats, fun costumes, dazzling décor and exciting games – no need to bring anything; we’ve got it all wrapped up!
LANDAA CANDY LANE
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Enter a rainbow world of sugar-coated frosted fun! Join the Treasure Hunt, tour the Candyland Sweet Stations, and indulge in everything from candies, cookies and cupcakes to donuts, lollipops and ice-cream and more! (Savoury treats will be served too!)
Board Moana’s boat and restore the heart to Te Fiti! Moana is a mini revolutionary who sets off to save her people when her island is endangered by mystical evil. Celebrate our fierce heroine with fun, frolics and food from Island Fruit Punch and Hawaiian Sliders to Ocean Party Snacks and more.
6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Tonight, everyone’s favourite fictional battlers are taking over Kids’ Club: it’s a Pokémon Revolution! Join the Training Camp, guess how many Caterpie, and indulge in everything from Muk-shakes to Poké Ball Punch, Jigglypuff Puffs to Picachu Pizza. Make sure you catch them all!
Let’s get tropical! Pineapples and palm trees, yellows and greens, island prints, salsa tunes and unimaginable fun … think inflatable tube balls, water slides, water guns, balloon shooting, games, mermaids and DJ tunes. Don’t miss the cool poolside candies, fruit skewers and ice-cream cones!
(A GLOW-IN-THE-DARK WONDER!)
From 6:30 pm
When the lights go out, the party’s on! We’ll provide the costumes and décor, music and snacks, just bring your best dance moves and brightest smile and prepare to glow like you’ve never glowed before!
There’s a reason football is such a popular, universal sport … the ball can be taken anywhere and everywhere is a pitch! No wonder the Roggiefarians and other liberation seekers are such skilled fanatics! Don’t miss out on Fattey’s action-packed football clinic! Up your game with session designed to develop skills and enhance confidence. Suitable for players aged 8 years and above.
AGE 8? YOU’RE OLD ENOUGH TO JOIN THE UNDERWATER CAUSE
A rite of passage for Maintown’s Mini Revolutionaries … on their 8th birthday, they were permitted a little more responsibility and independence. This included underwater swimming in the island waters, sometimes in search of dinner, but more often to frolic below the waves, exploring rainbow gardens and glittery sea creatures.
We are one of the only Resorts in the world that PADI permits to teach kids’ diving courses in the lagoon (rather than swimming pools). Kids aged 8 and above can take the plunge with an hour-long Bubblemaker course or embark on cool AquaMissions to become an official member of the PADI Seal Team. Contact the Dive School for further information. Additional charges apply.
BUILD A CORAL CHRISTMAS TREE
Marine Discovery Centre
24 December, from 2:00 pm
Take a step to revolutionise our house reefs by transplanting a special Christmas Tree Coral Frame with our marine team. A fun, land-based activity for all the family – no swimming experience required.
CRAB RACING AT BLU
Nightly, 6:30 pm
Hiding out from the masses means finding nature-inspired entertainment! The sport of crab racing is a revolutionary’s favourite. Crabs are nurtured, exercised daily, and trained in the fine art of sideways scrambling. And when it comes to crabs, Castor and Che are bitter rivals … just as well the Roggiefarians are on hand with their songs of ‘one love’ to diffuse the situation. Winning the evening event makes you King of the Regime for a night! Choose your crab and join in the fun!
DAILY KIDS’ CLUB BUFFETS
20 December – 2 January
12:00 – 2:00 pm & 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Children of the Revolution are spoilt for food choices this festive season! Delicious community buffets keep little tummies full, ready for the next adventure…
Join us in Kids’ Club for daily lunch buffets (12:00 – 2:00 pm, 20 Dec to 6 Jan) and daily dinner buffets from 6:30 – 8:00 pm (with the exception of 24 and 31 December, when the kids’ buffet will be at the event itself).
Open daily from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
The life of a Mini Revolutionary is never dull! The veterans have many names for these wild-eyed, adventure-seeking youngsters, but when they are island side, it is Kuda Velaa (‘little turtles’). From dawn to dusk, they love to frolic in the pool, play on their wooden pirate adventure ship, climb through the treetops and engage in exciting island-wide conquests of their very own… Grab a ‘Passport to Adventure’ booklet (ages 4 – 8) or ‘Mission: Landaa Giraavaru’ (ages 8+) and embark on your own information-gathering operation!
Maintown’s Marine Discovery Centre champions the liberation of all sea creatures, great and small, through community
projects and pioneering conservation. What ocean devotion takes your fancy? Visit the Fish Lab or the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre; set sail on a dolphin cruise or for a spot of sunset fishing, or enjoy sea seclusion with private island escapes, sandbank picnic and chartered yacht trips. Don’t hesitate to contact us to help plan an exciting family schedule in advance of your trip.
We know you adore your Mini Revolutionaries, but it’s your vacation too! This festive season, in addition to our daily Kids’ Club programme, we’re extending the festive support to daily lunch buffets (12:00 – 2:00 pm, 20 Dec to 2 Jan) and daily dinner buffets (6:30 – 8:00 pm, with the exception of 24 and 31 December, when the kids’ buffet will be at the event itself).
Babysitters can be booked 24 hours in advance, either for children under 4 who wish to attend Kids’ Club, for evening or daytime sessions outside of Kids’ Club, or should you wish to escape for an early morning dive or yoga class. We can even arrange Maldivian nannies to help support your family during your stay.
Please contact us to discuss your personal needs or to put a family care-plan in place prior to your visit.
