A clue-filled quest and reggae-inspired revolution
Every year we challenge ourselves at Kuda Huraa and Landaa Giraavaru to top the previous year’s festive programmes. Months (and months!) in the planning – including many a debate – we are delighted to reveal the 2017 festive themes!
Guests visiting Kuda Huraa this year are in for a quest-filled archeological adventure – the search for The Lost Temple of Kudak. Embark on a sophisticated culinary chase across the globe with daily-changing, clue-filled theme nights from clandestine meetings to Adventures in Asia to a festive street market overflowing with treats and trinkets.
Visit the Valley of the Kings for plenty of adrenalin-fuelled activities and events; let the kids go wild at the Mummy Night and Oasis Pool Party; and enjoy post-adventure pampering at Cleopatra’s Island. Solve the riddles, complete the treasure map, find the temple, and prepare for a legendary New Year’s gala of Pharaoh-style proportions.
Over at Landaa Giraavaru, revolution is in the air! Join Castor Landel and Che Giraavar as they plot a liberation of the people of Maintown from the sticky grip of the United Pineapple Company. Meet the colourful characters of the grassroots-led movement – El Movimiento: chill out with Romeo Upmann and the Cigarollo members at the Cigar & Mojito Lounge; get colourful at the Reggae Beach Party with the Roggiefarians and chant ‘No Woman, Nuh Cry’ with Julietta Castor (Landel’s Mum) and the marching Espadrilles. Featuring Landaa’s infamous Sticker Book Challenge, the fun peaks on Liberation NYE Night with a ‘One Love’ party: let’s get together and feel all right!
